SUMMER skills TRAINING PROGRAM

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • Coaching and instruction by professional experienced staff.

  • A total of 32 hours on ice instruction focusing on skill development, power skating, and edge work.

  • A total of 32 hours off ice instruction focusing on shooting, stick handling, strength, flexibility, and balance.

  • Our 8 week program is designed to be progressive, every 2 weeks the curriculum becomes more difficult and is designed to continuously challenge the player to push their limits, and train outside of their comfort zone.

  • Training for 8 weeks consistently, and with skill progression, develops muscle/ brain memory and correct form, at a young age. The intent is that as the players grow; and get bigger, faster, and stronger, they are using correct technique and not forming bad habits that will be difficult to reverse when they are older.

  • Players receive team work out gear, jersey, socks, and pant shell.


grit nExt level TRAINING PROGRAM

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • GRIT Next Level is an invitation only program. Eligible GRIT players will receive an email from Coach Wise, and Coach Richards, at the end of the 2020 summer training, inviting them to participate in Next Level for the summer of 2021. Wisconsin AAA players who are interested in registering for Next Level Training, who have not previously participated in GRIT, may apply and we will review your application.

  • Designed for Squirt-Bantam players who have mastered the skills taught at GRIT Summer Skills Training, and who have a strong desire to reach a higher level of competition and skill development.

  • Athletes must be cooperative, attentive, and disciplined, and are ready to take their training to the Next Level.

  • Program pre-requisites are the criteria above, along with 3 years minimum playing experience, and 1 year of GRIT Summer Training.

  • A total of 32 hours on ice instruction focusing on advanced skill development, power skating, and advanced edge work.

  • A total of 32 hours off ice instruction focusing on shooting, stick handling, functional movement, flexibility, and balance.

  • Our 8 week program is designed to be progressive, every 2 weeks the curriculum becomes more difficult and is designed to continuously challenge the player to push their limits, and train outside of their comfort zone.

Goalie

SPECIALIZED GOALIE TRAINING PROGRAm

TRAINING DETAILS:

  • Designed for Goalies at any age or level, who want to learn all of the necessary skills and techniques to elevate their game.

  • A total of 32 hours on ice instruction focusing on goalie stance, shot preparation, save selection, on ice mobility, and edge work and recovery. Coaches will also use video to facilitate instant feedback on goalie positioning and decision making.

  • A total of 32 hours off ice instruction focusing on functional movement and balance, flexibility and agility, stick handling, and hand eye coordination.

  • Our 8 week program is designed to be progressive, every 2 weeks the curriculum becomes more difficult and is designed to continuously challenge the player to push their limits, and train outside of their comfort zone.

  • Training for 8 weeks consistently, and with skill progression, develops muscle/ brain memory and correct form, at a young age. The intent is that as the players grow; and get bigger, faster, and stronger, they are using correct technique and not forming bad habits that will be difficult to reverse when they are older.
