2025 train to advance high school/ bantam

co-ed high level skills session

Program Details:

  • Summer 8 week Program for high level, motivated Bantam and High School players who are looking to advance and play hockey after high school. This will be a high intensity session designed to push players out of their comfort zone in order to hone in on, and refine weaknesses in their skill set.

  • 16 hours on ice instruction focusing on skill development, correct skating technique, and edge work.

  • 16 hours off ice instruction focusing on shooting, stick handling, strength, flexibility, balance, and speed.

  • Our 8-week program is designed to be progressive, every 2 weeks the curriculum becomes more difficult and is designed to continuously challenge the player to push their limits, and train outside of their comfort zone.

  • Training for 8 weeks consistently, and with skill progression, develops muscle/ brain memory and correct form, at a young age. The intent is that as the players grow; and get bigger, faster, and stronger, they are using correct technique and not forming bad habits that will be difficult to reverse when they are older.

  • Players receive T-Shirt, and Jersey.

  • Space is limited due to the low coach to player ratio. Registration is first come, first serve.

  • Training will be held at Wessman Arena, home of the GRIT Hockey Club.

  • $200 Deposit Due Upon Registration

  • $1,100 register and pay in full before March 1st/ $1,200 after March 1st

2025 ADVANCED fundamentals training

Program Details:

  • A total of 32 hours of coaching and instruction by professional experienced staff.

  • 16 hours on ice instruction focusing on skill development, correct skating technique, power skating, and edge work.

  • 16 hours off ice instruction focusing on shooting, stick handling, strength, flexibility, balance, and speed.

  • Our 8-week program is designed to be progressive, every 2 weeks the curriculum becomes more difficult and is designed to continuously challenge the player to push their limits, and train outside of their comfort zone.

    Co-Ed Program Designed for Beginner and Intermediate level Mite/ U6 & U8 and Squirt/ U10 level players. Focus will be on correct skating techniques and edge work, stickhandling and shooting. The consistent repetition over the 8 week is very important for development and skill progression, at this age.

  • 32 hours on ice instruction focusing on skill development, correct skating technique, power skating, and edge work.

  • 24 hours off ice instruction focusing on shooting, stick handling, strength, flexibility, balance, and speed.

Dates:

  • Learn to Train - Designed for Intermediate and Advanced level players of any age who can already skate forward and backwards with the puck, stickhandle, and can shoot forwards and backhand.

  • Session will be mixed ages, and is ideal for families and carpools who need their players to train at the same time. Players are split into age appropriate training groups for on and off ice skill sessions.

2025 advanced Next level training program

Program Details:

  • GRIT NeXt LeVel is a longer and more intense program that is a progression for GRIT players who are working hard to master the skills we are teaching and who the coaches feel are ready to take on more advanced curriculum. Ideally players will have participate in GRIT previous summers.

  • Designed for Squirt/ U10- High School/ U16 players who have a strong desire to reach a higher level of competition and skill development. This program is Co-Ed.

  • Athletes must be cooperative, attentive, disciplined, and good teammates, and are ready to take their training to the NeXt LeVel.

  • Players must be able to follow instructions and focus on training for the 3.5 hour day and not be a distraction or disruptive. Players must also be able to change quickly in and out of their gear and be able to tie their own skates, with little or no help. Coaches will help, but will push players to do it on their own, as the summer progresses.

  • A total of 32 hours on ice instruction focusing on advanced skill development, power skating, and advanced edge work.

  • A total of 24 hours off ice instruction focusing on shooting, stick handling, functional movement, flexibility, balance, and speed.

  • Our 8-week program is designed to be progressive, every 2 weeks the curriculum becomes more difficult and is designed to continuously challenge the player to push their limits, and train outside of their comfort zone.

  • Training for 8 weeks consistently, and with skill progression, develops muscle/ brain memory and correct form, at a young age. The intent is that as the players grow; and get bigger, faster, and stronger, they are using correct technique and not forming bad habits that will be difficult to reverse when they are older.

  • Players receive team work out gear, jersey, and socks.

2025 Goalie Training Program

Program Details:

  • A total of 56 hours of coaching and instruction by professional experienced staff. Designed for Goalies at any age or level, who want to learn all of the necessary skills and techniques to elevate their game.

  • 32 hours on ice instruction focusing on goalie stance, shot preparation, save selection, on ice mobility, and edge work and recovery.

  • 24 hours off ice instruction focusing on functional movement and balance, flexibility and agility, stick handling, and hand eye coordination.

  • Our 8-week program is designed to be progressive, every 2 weeks the curriculum becomes more difficult and is designed to continuously challenge the player to push their limits, and train outside of their comfort zone.

  • Training for 8 weeks consistently, and with skill progression, develops muscle/ brain memory and correct form, at a young age. The intent is that as the players grow; and get bigger, faster, and stronger, they are using correct technique and not forming bad habits that will be difficult to reverse when they are older.

  • Players receive team work out gear, jersey, socks, and pant shell.

  • Space is limited due to the low coach to player ratio. Registration is first come, first serve.
